Brittany Snow Premieres “Prom Night”

Brittany Snow Premieres “Prom Night”

Category: Cinema & TV  - Posted by: rapvirus  on Apr 10th, 2008

High School horror films have always been a favorite teen genre. And the latest installment of schooltime scary flicks is “Prom Night,” hitting theaters this Friday, April 11th. But last night, a few very lucky filmgoers got a sneak peek at t...he new movie (as well as star Brittany Snow) at the World Premiere, held at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California. The “John Tucker Must Die” actress was most definitely the belle of the ball, sporting an elegant strapless white dress, along with a pair of strappy heels and a sequined brooch. And it sounds like the “Prom Night” premiere is only the first of a few big nights Miss Snow has coming up this year. She has two other films, “Finding Amanda,” and “Black Water Transit” releasing in 2008.

Who’s That Girl?

Who’s That Girl?

It’s a newly-coiffed Heidi Klum, who is also the new face of mineral water Bella Fontanis. Klum’s shorter, blunt-bang hairdo not only gives her more youth — as if the lady needed more of it! — it also makes her look like a Victoria’s Secret... hybrid between herself, actresses Sienna Miller and Taryn Manning. We’d never say “auf wiedersehen” to Heidi, especially not in that fabulous short mini dress.

Sure, Madonna has a sizeable bank account, but spending $10,000 per month on water seems outrageous. In Touch Weekly reports that the Material Girl recently confided to a pal that she picked up the pricey habit of drinking only specially blessed Kabb...alah water, which costs about $5 per bottle. Madonna reportedly ships cartons of it to wherever she is staying, which also contributes to the expense. “Madonna drinks a lot of water — that’s one of her fitness secrets,” her pal told the mag. “And this is the only stuff she will touch.”

And the celebrity-slash-fragrance collaborations keep on a-comin’! The latest rumor around the Vitamin Water cooler is that Mr. Justin Timberlake is the face for a new, yet unnamed Givenchy fragrance, joining the likes of Liv Tyler, who touts the b...rand’s Very Irresistible scent. This means we’ll be buying this parfum pour homme for our significant others as soon as it hits the stores. Though they might not look like Justin, at least they can smell like him. And we can pretend to be Jessica Biel.

Scientists Discover How to Make Robots Bounce on Water

Scientists Discover How to Make Robots Bounce on Water

Scientists have discovered how water striders are able to not just walk but also bounce on water. The way water striders walk on water was discovered years ago. The insect uses its long legs to help evenly distribute its tiny body weight. The weight ...is distributed over a large area so that the fragile skin formed by surface tension supports the bug on the water. However, the ability of water striders to jump onto water without sinking has baffled scientists, until now. A team of researchers at Seoul National University, led by Ho-Young Kim and Duck-Gyu Lee, has finally answered that question. By using a highly water-repellent sphere, which mimicked the actions of the water strider’s highly water-repellent legs, they were able to determine a small range of speeds at which the sphere or insect could hit the water and not sink.
