UK's telegraph is reporting that legendary 62-year old diva cher is in talks with director christopher nolan to take on the role of catwoman in the next batman film (which is set to st...art filming early next year in vancouver and will feature johnny depp Johnny Depp as 'the riddler') i almost passed out when i read this earlier this evening (i will totally do a 'happy happy joy joy' dance if this all turns out to come true) of course cher is an amazing actress (and even won an academy award in 1987 for her turn as 'loretta castorini' in moonstruck plus she was nominated for her work in 1983's silkwood) yet she hasn't acted in years (i believe her last film was 1999's super lackluster tea with mussolini and she made a lame cameo in 2003's stuck on you as herself) i'd love to see cher back up on the silver screen - especially as catwoman! |

In a frankly inspired piece of casting it is rumoured tha...t they will be approaching Johnny Depp to play the role of the Riddler and attempt to breathe life into a character hammed to death by Jim Carrey in the truly awful 'Batman Forever'. Johnny's a lovely man so hopefully he won't prepare for the role in the same way as Heath Ledger did for the Joker (by seemingly going a bit dotty then dying). If this comes off it might be the first time the audience is cheering for the Riddler to give Batman a truly historic hammering. |

Most people picked up on the scene that I mentioned in the ...earlier trailer posting where Harvey Dent is behind held to the floor in a puddle of what appears to be a gasoline type substance (as seen below). Many people agree with my conclusion that this is most definitely how Dent becomes Two-Face. A much different set-up from the traditional Joker/Acid story-line from the comic book series. |

Batman sequels. When the first sequel, The Dark Knight, went into production in early 2007, Cillian wasn't on the official bill, but rumours of him reprising Crane repeatedly popped up. While Cillian had never confirmed whether he'd appear in The Dark Knight; he told MTV on 9 May that he "can't count on that at the moment," a comment which seems conveniently vague in retrospect. Because in June 2007, reports began to surface that he was on set as crafty members of the The Superhero Hype! Boards began posting photos and eyewitness accounts that Cillian was shooting a The Dark Knight scene in a Chicago parking garage. The next day, it was reported that Cillian was spotted visiting Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, confirming that the London resident was in the Windy City. |
