Earlier this year, the group opened the Peapod Music and Arts Academy for kids in foster care/at risk teens. |

 Teen Arrested for Trying to Crash Into ConcertCategory: Music Industry - Posted by: KingM on Jan 26th, 2008A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after the FBI said he had plans to hijack a plane and crash it into a Hannah Montana concert. He was apparently going to hijack a Southwest flight from Los Angeles to Nashville by using handcuffs, rope and duct tap...e. He was going to order pilots to divert the plane from Nashville to Lafayette, Louisiana and crash it into the Cajundome where Miley Cyrus was performing. Only problem is Miley’s concert is scheduled for Friday night. How bad would it suck to hijack a plane only to find out you had the wrong concert night? Curses! We know duct tape is supposed to be versatile, but you’re not going to be able to hijack a commecial airliner with a roll of it. And we can think of lots of people whose music is worse than Hannah Montana. Celine Dion, Clay Aiken, any country music act… The teen is currently being held at a juvenile detention center where he has reportedly been charged with felony terrorism. |

 Akon Legal TroublesCategory: Music Industry - Posted by: Rovtar on Jan 14th, 2008Hip-hop star Akon has been charged by police after a fan said she suffered concussion when he allegedly threw a teenager off stage, hitting her. The incident occurred in June at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, north of New York City. The singer is sch...eduled to appear in court next week on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment. Injured fan Abby Rosa said she had hired a lawyer over the incident. Audience members at the concert told Associated Press a spectator lobbed something at the singer and Akon asked the crowd to point out the culprit. A security guard picked out a 15-year-old and sent him up to the stage, where Akon is said to have picked him up onto his shoulders and threw him into the crowd. |
