Amy’s Husband: Still A LoserCategory: Music Industry - Posted by: rapvirus on Jul 8th, 2008I guess I don’t really understand how the prison system works, especially overseas, because I have a few questions spurred by this weekend’s latest Amy Winehouse drama. Her husband, the lovely Blake Incarcerated, was caught (complete with photogr...aphic evidence) taking heroin in his London prison cell. Surprising, no? I really thought he was getting his act together. So maybe this is naive of me, but why is he consistently able to get his grubby hands on illegal substances while being locked away in a prison cell? And who is this person taking the pictures? Do they allow cameras behind bars? And who is paying all of this money for exclusive photos of anyone Amy Winehouse-related taking drugs? Is this really breaking news? |

Is Elton John’s fundraising concert legal?Category: Music Industry - Posted by: KingM on Mar 30th, 2008British Sir Elton John’s planned fundraising concert for Hillary Clinton maybe illegal. This was due to US election laws that ban foreigners from fundraising or donating money for candidates. Sir Elton’s scheduled concert at New York’s Radio Ci...ty Music Hall is nearly sold out. The only tickets left were those very costly ones in the range of $1000 – 2300. There was an exemption in the 1966 US legislation. It stated that if the foreigner was not compensated for his fundraising, then it could be allowed. Sir Elton was believed to be donating his effort. If there was cause for complaints, it would be filed with the US Federal Election Committee. So far, no complaints were filed. |

It's Time to Legalize DrugsCategory: Politics - Posted by: rapvirus on Dec 21st, 2007Prohibition has failed -- again. Instead of treating the demand for illegal drugs as a market, and addicts as patients, policymakers the world over have boosted the profits of drug lords and fostered narcostates that would frighten Al Capone. Finally..., a smarter drug control regime that values reality over rhetoric is rising to replace the "war" on drugs. |
