Lee then further fueled the drama fire saying, "First of all, the man is not my father and we're not on a plantation either. He's a great director ... I didn't personally attack him.  Sam Raimi Updates On “Spider-Man 4″Category: Cinema & TV - Posted by: rapvirus on Jun 10th, 2008Boy, for a movie that doesn’t even have a completed script yet, we sure are doing a lot of talking about Spider-Man 4 lately. According to Sam Raimi, he’s waiting on James Vanderbilt’s script to decide whether or not to commit to directing t...he proposed sequel: “Right now James Vanderbilt is writing the script, and he’s working on it, and I’m excited to read it. I think it’s going to be done in a few months. I’m hoping it’s as great as our discussions were about it and hoping it feels right for me, because I love Spider-Man, and I’m hoping I’m well-enough rested to, like, really embrace it and hoping that Sony wants me at that time to direct it. So if all those things come together, I would love, love to do it. But this is a lot of unknowns about the future.“ Cutting through all the usual PR double-speak about “ifs” and “whens”, the most telling thing here is that Vanderbilt and Raimi were able to brainstorm about the script together - and that’s as good a sign as any that the Evil Dead director will be back for Round 4. |

We spotted Kristen Bell and Jon Heeder working on their new project with an array of props.... I'm not exactly sure as to how a baby and an anatomical heart fit into this story (the plot, courtesy of IMDB only tells us; In New York City, a young art curator finds herself aggressively pursued by a band of wannabe lovers after she steals coins from a Roman fountain) but the thought of Napoleon Dynamite doing a card trick has already reeled me in! |

Rather, it's one of those gag movies where they make fun of some specific genre of film. This time, apparently, action movies are being targeted for zingers a...nd biting social satire. And yes, Carmen Electra stars in the film. Apparently, so does Kim. Little-known fact: Kardashian's butt gets its own line in the credits. In any case, this pic is from Kim herself. She says her scene with Carmen has them spoofing female wrestlers from the WWE, gushing, "We had to learn choreographed fight scenes in a real boxing ring, and then we were tasked with freestyle fighting. "It was so thrilling! We really went at it!...I'm so glad our hard work paid off because we had been in dance rehearsal for two days!!! Pineapple Express stars Seth Rogen and James Franco, who said they were smoking "fake weed" as they presented the award for "best summer movie so far." They joked that MTV chose them becaus...e only "two potheads like us" would be willing to announce such a weird category. As they pulled out a "huge fatty joint" and lit it, cameras pulled to a wide angle and stayed that way until the two left the stage. (See more outrageous photos from the show.) New York's Daily News wrote that the "sweet scent wafting through the Gibson Amphitheatre suggested the herb was real." Added Robert Downey Jr. (whose film Iron Man won): "Thanks for that intoxicating introduction." Rogen refused to reveal if the pot were real. "I'm not going to answer that question," he told the Daily News. Asked what was in the bag, Franco told the Associated Press, "I don't know! MTV gave it to us." He said MTV asked them to do the joke, even providing them with the script and fake weed. Before they went on, he said, "backstage there was this big commotion: 'You guys can't [do] that.'" |

No, Sin City, that one's my own baby, folks, and it looks the way it does for its own reasons. The Spirit is, and will always be, Eisner's Spirit .... To drive the point home, The Spirit , despite any accidental impression left by that kickass teaser-trailer, is a full-color movie. Opening day ticket sales for Sex And The City Movie unseated last week’s box office champ, Indy 4; banishing the action epic to second place and setting a new... precedent for “chick flicks.” Yay for Girl Power! The four fashionistas from New York City, who grew to fame between 1998-2004 on the wildly-successful HBO comedy, sold approximately $26.9 million in tickets in the U.S and Canada on its first day in theaters on Friday. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull followed with about $12 million, according to preliminary estimates issued on Saturday.
