And earlier today, family and friends remembered him in a funeral service ...at Mortlake Crematorium in South London. Stars like Kate Moss, Lily Allen, Sophie Dahl, and Sienna Miller all showed up to pay their respects to the eccentric Englishman. Dahl and Moss, as well as actress Liv Tyler were all rumored at one time to have dated Cordell. Tarka’s brother Barney was the first to confirm his suicide, telling press, “I’m afraid Tarka has taken his own life. We are all tremendously sad. He had just come back from India. Nothing has been settled for the funeral.” |

Kelly arrived at a Cook County courthouse Friday to face child pornography charges filed after a videotape allegedly showed him having sex with a girl as young as 13. Jury selection was scheduled to start in the Grammy-winning R&B singer's tria...l, which has been delayed for six years. Another delay was possible after defense attorneys filed a motion Wednesday seeking to postpone the trial again. Judge Vincent Gaughan could rule on that request Friday. The reasons for the motion were being kept secret, but it came as publicity surrounding the case heats up and some media speculated about who might testify. Prosecutors will have to surmount several hurdles if they hope to prevail. |

Fresh off her seven-month stint in the slammer for her manicure meltdown, the hot-tempered hip-hopster pleaded guilty today to one misdemeanor count of menacing for beaning her neighbor upside the head with a Black...Berry. Sandy Silverstein, a spokesman for the Kings County District Attorney's Office, said that as part of a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop a felony assault charge against Brown for her July 2007 attack on Arlene Raymond. The two got into a spat outside their Brooklyn apartment building after Raymond complained that Brown was blasting her car stereo. Brown responded with a smartphone to the skull. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was sentenced to time served. |
