A former chain smoker, Newman had been diagnosed with lung cancer in June of this year and ultimately died of it. Nominated nine times for an Oscar, he won best actor for the 1986 film, The Color of Money. Also known as the founder of Newman’s Own food company, his daugher Nell will most likely take over. The 49-year-old passed away Saturday at 1:47 a.m. at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was admitted to the intensive care unit on January 11 for pneumo...nia. Christian had a few minor roles in movies and had most recently been working in construction under a pseudonym. He went to prison for voluntary manslaughter for shooting and killing his half-sister Cheyenne’s boyfriend Dag Drollet at Marlon’s Mulholland mansion in 1990. He was released in 1996 and in 2005 he pled guilty to abusing his then-wife, Deborah Presley. Christian was also accused of playing a role in the death of Robert Blake’s wife Bonnie Lee Bakley. She had originally named Brando as the father of her child before DNA tests proved it otherwise. |

Several packets containing an unknown substance, as well as a $20 bill with narcotic residue, were found listed on the official police report... from the scene. In addition to the drugs, several bottles of prescription pills were also at the scene including anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Zoloft and the sleeping pill Ambien. The star was found in his bed by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET this afternoon. According to TMZ, prescription pills were found near his body. The NYPD says a masseuse a...rrived at his Soho apartment and was let in by a housekeeper. They found him in his bedroom and attempted to wake him and called 911. Paramedics arrived and the actor was in full cardiac arrest. They attempted to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The 28-year-old actor has a two year old daughter with Michelle Williams and was most recently romantically linked to model Gemma Ward. |
